Volunteers

Volunteers365x202 After the quake and tsunami, the mayor of Ishinomaki City gave the green light to local civic leaders and students to form the Ishinomaki Disaster Recovery task force. The task force deployed with swift and resolute action to rebuild Ishinomaki and help victims utilizing the power of many willing hands from both the nation of Japan and from other countries spanning the globe. It’s dirty work, it’s smelly work, it’s physical and difficult and emotionally draining, but these volunteers have done incredible work. As we approach the 1st Anniversary of the Tohoku tragedy, we must all thank these VOLUNTEERS.
