When Stu first looking to volunteer in Tohoku right after the earthquake, a connection through a good friend led him to an group of incredibly passionate humanitarians – staff of the non-profit named JEN-NPO. On March 14, 2011, Stu joined JEN on the first critical mission to delivery emergency provisions of gasoline and rice. JEN’s presence during the recovery was ubiquitous – and through their experience and execution, the victims were able to begin down the important path to recovery.
